Puppy Returns & Refund Policy
At Northgate Mini Dachshund Puppies, our priority is to place every puppy in a safe, loving, and responsible home. We carefully prepare our puppies before they leave our care, and we encourage all prospective owners to make sure they are fully prepared for the commitment of puppy ownership before completing a purchase.
Returns
Because puppies are living animals, all puppy sales are considered final. We do not accept returns, exchanges, or refunds simply because a buyer changes their mind, changes their circumstances, or decides that the puppy is not the right fit for their household.
If, for any reason, you are no longer able to care for your puppy, please contact us first. We will do our best to discuss appropriate options and, where possible, assist with rehoming or arranging the puppy’s return. Any return arrangement must be approved by us in advance.
Health-Related Issues
Every puppy leaves our care having received appropriate veterinary attention and health checks. If a puppy develops a health condition covered by our health guarantee, the buyer must notify us within the period specified in the guarantee and provide supporting veterinary documentation when requested.
Any refund, replacement, or other remedy for a covered health issue will be handled according to the specific terms and conditions of our Health Guarantee.
Deposits
Puppy deposits are used to reserve a specific puppy and are generally non-refundable if the buyer cancels the purchase or changes their mind. Deposits may only be transferred or refunded where specifically agreed upon by us in writing.
Buyer Responsibility
Before purchasing a puppy, buyers are encouraged to carefully consider their lifestyle, living arrangements, finances, time commitment, and ability to provide lifelong care. By completing a purchase, the buyer acknowledges responsibility for the puppy’s ongoing care, veterinary expenses, training, food, and other ownership costs.
We are committed to working with our puppy families and want every puppy to have a happy and permanent home. If you experience difficulties after bringing your puppy home, please contact us before making any decision to surrender or rehome the puppy.
